The workshop will provide information and guidance on research and capacity building in the field of food control systems. It will focus especially on the challenges facing developing country analytical laboratories in implementing systems and methods to:

• control chemical contaminants in food,
• underpin food traceability systems,
• verify food authenticity.

The programme will include invited lectures and an expert panel discussion session, and will foster opportunities for developing country scientists to network and develop working collaborations with RAFA participants.
Participants registering for RAFA are also invited to register for the workshop.
