Dr. Katerina Mastovska
(Covance Laboratories, Greenfield, IN, USA)

Dr. Katerina (Kate) Mastovska is an Associate Scientific Director at Covance Laboratories, where she is mainly responsible for development of new analytical methods and strategies for testing of chemical residues, contaminants, and adulterants in foods and dietary supplements. Prior joining the Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety business unit at Covance Laboratories in 2009, she worked at the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) and served as an expert in the United Nation’s Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) panel of the Joint FAO/WHO Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR). Kate is a Fellow of the AOAC Int. Among other activities at the AOAC Int., she co-chairs the AOAC Chemical Contaminants and Residues in Food community. Kate has authored/co-authored more than 60 scientific publications (journal articles, book chapters, and monographs). She received her Ph.D. in Food Chemistry and Analysis from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, Czech Republic.
